liberal arts field
(1) Transfer (department) students/re-examination students/re-entry students
Students are required to apply for credit exemption in accordance with the school calendar application deadline by themselves to the teaching affairs system and list the course name, selection (required, elective, general) and credits in detail, and attach (1) the original school transcript and ( 2) Course syllabus for review.
Since each school has greatly different requirements for general course content, training and coursework, it will be difficult to determine the areas for exemption if the course materials for actual participation in classroom learning are not provided.
If the application form does not list other courses taken at the original school as liberal arts courses, it will not be accepted.

(2) Exchange students
According to the regulations of the Registration and Academic Affairs Committee of National Taiwan Ocean University, "an application for credit exemption should be submitted within two months after returning to school" and fill in the application form for credit exemption for exchange students' course selection (please download it from the website of the Academic Affairs Office's Registration and Academic Affairs Committee ),
Together with the official transcripts or certificates of all subjects and credits issued by the exchange school, and the official course syllabus for review.

Because the course content and training requirements vary greatly from country to country, it is difficult to determine the areas for exemption without course-related information and proof of students’ actual participation in classroom learning.
